Birthday Girl!

My sweet Ava Lea is 2! The last two years have gone by so fast in a blur of love, activity, and (if we're being honest....sleeplessness). Our little Lea Lea is two.
At the age of 2 here are some updates about Ava:
-she will eat most anything but does not like olives or sweet potato fries. Her favorite foods include macaroni and cheese, pizza, all fruit- especially blueberries, bananas, and applesauce-yogurt, crackers, and waffles. She drinks water with most meals and still loves her warm milk.
- she says lots of words with new ones added each day. Some of her most used phrases are "I'm done", "I want some more", "me", "my turn", "thank you" which sounds like tee two.
- she is her big sisters shadow. Anything sister did she want to do too. If Sophia shows us a loose tooth then Ava has to show us her teeth too. They play together more and more and really enjoy playing dress up and dancing together the most.
- She is obsessed with babies. There is a baby at her daycare that she is so sweet with and she loves to help take care of him. She loves to play with her baby dolls at home. She feeds them and shushes them and wraps them up. She even burps them and rocks them. It is very sweet.
- she has a great sense of humor. She will do anything for a laugh but can be a bit shy in a new crowd.
- she still sleeps like an infant. Just when she starts sleeping through the night she gets sick or pops out a bunch of teeth at once and she is back to getting up multiple times a night. It is rough but we have survived this long with little sleep so what's a few more weeks (months?? years???)
-she has a strong toder/stubborn streak. If you tell her no she will often look you right in the eye and do it again. She gets time outs in her bed which seem to work well. She also has no fear, she would jump off of the highest play structure at the park if we let her. She's given us a few heartattacks and we have to keep a close hand on her when out and about. I do love her fearlessness and daring personality- I think it will serve her well in life.

We had a joint birthday party for the girls in between their birthdays, but on Ava's actual birthday we had my parents over for pizza, cake, and presents. Here are some pictures of Ava on her birthday.

Opening her presents.
Sissy gave Ava a cool light up music playing flashlight. Here's Ava thanking her for the gift.
We got Ava a bubble machine. She loves it! Here she is seeing it for the first time.

Singing to Ava
She got a little shy when we were all singing to her and put her head down- it was cute.
Yum cake!
