Swim Lessons

For the last six weeks Sophia took swimming lessons for the first time! We took a toddler/parent class at the Kroc Center near our house. Sophia LOVED swimming lessons and we saw a lot of growth in her abilities, comfort, and confidence in the water. The class met twice a week for a half an hour. Steven and i would both get in the water with her. During class we would practice skills like blowing bubbles, paddling, kicking, going under, etc. through singing songs and playing games. We enjoyed the swim classes and are looking forward to more playtime in the pool in the coming weeks! Here are some swim lesson pictures, some of them are kind of far away since I did not want to bring the camera in the water.

All ready before her first lesson!

A different day from the above pictures, SO excited to get in the pool!

Happy girl!

Singing a song- all smiles!

Kick, kick, kick!

Cute little foot

Each lesson they would play "Lifeguard", where they would throw their little Ducky and then have to practice a certain skill to go get their Ducky. All the kids loved this simple game!

YouTube Video

This video cracks me up. She enjoyed going under the water, yet would always have the most surprised look on her face when she got out- I also like how she clapped and celebrated as she swam.

Going down the little slide in the wading pool.

So happy!
