"Snow"

All week the weather people around here were having heart attacks at the "February storm" that was supposed to put the whole Portland area and the valley out of commission with inches and inches of snow, getting this teacher's hopes super high for an unexpected day off or even better-two days off. Well, as usual, the weather folks were wrong and all we got was a dusting and a two hour late (although better then nothing, and does not have to be made up at the end of the year). Before heading into work I took Sophia out to check out the cold white stuff. She was pretty unimpressed. She touched it then looked at me and dramatically wiped her hand on her coat then she walked around timidly dipping her toe into the snow. There really was not enough to actually play in, what we did get just made the grass muddy and everything had melted off the street. I am looking forward to maybe next year taking Sophia out to really play in the snow, build a snowman, go sledding- that is if we get some "real" snow. Sophia was most impressed when a giant flock of geese flew over making all sorts of noise, she pointed to the sky saying "gee, gee" and clapped her hands. She is just so cute. Here are some pictures of my little Adidas Eskimo!

Gee, Gee!!!

Hey! What's that?
