2012 has started off a little rough for the Prine family. Sophia rang in the new year with a stomach bug that kept her up most of the night. She stayed home with Steven last Tuesday and then seemed to be almost back to her "normal" self, except she still wasn't eating much. We thought maybe her GERD was coming back with a vengeance until this last Friday when she got SO sick. Poor girl was throwing up and so sick to her stomach. She cried for three hours in the middle of the night and nothing we could do would console her- which is SO not like her. At about 2:15 in the morning we took her to the ER where we got to spend the next 7 hours trying to get Sophia's symptoms under control (we also spent a lot of time waiting, apparently Friday night was a busy night for fights in the area and the crazies were definitely out at the ER). She finally stopped throwing up with the help of some Zofran. The doctors had to put a catheter in her so they could run some tests, poor girl. It was decided that she just had a really bad stomach flu and after they got her symptoms under control and she was able to keep some fluids down we were able to go home. At that point Steven and I had been awake for about 27 hours straight and Sophia had been up most of the night as well.
Saturday and Sunday was spent sleeping and cuddling this sweet girl.
Sunday she dressed herself...she was proud. Elmo pj's inside out, her favorite heart hoodie and Halloween socks.
This afternoon we have a follow up appointment with her primary doctor and Sophia woke up with a runny nose and a cough...it never ends.
