You know it's finally summer vacation when:
- You get to spend all day everyday with your sweet three year old daughter!
- You can stay awake past 10 and sleep in past 5:30!
- You get to go strawberry picking with all your teacher friends whom are also on vacation. Sophia was a super strawberry picker and we picked about 12 pounds of berries which have all been frozen to use through the year.
- Your beautiful hydrangea's are blooming in the yard!
- Sometimes you go to the park at 9 A.M. This actual park picture was taken after Sophia's first dentist appointment! We went to a pediatric dentist here in town and Sophia did great and her teeth were in perfect shape!
- You have cooked five new recipes in a week because you actually have time to try new things. I made Greek yogurt strawberry banana bread, pesto, mozzarella, and tomato grilled cheese, bean and avocado salad, caprese dip, and salsa roll-ups. Thank you Pinterest!
- It's not nearly as stressful when your daughter winds up sick (again) because you don't have to negotiate work schedules, sub plans, and the unknown from day to day- although no matter what it still breaks your heart to see her not feel well. (See next post...).
- You've read two books in two weeks.
- Your house actually stays clean and laundry stays caught up on.
Now all we need is a long period of nice weather to really get this summer going!
