A First

Last weekend Sophia got her very first haircut. We decided it was time to get a trim. Her hair is so curly and so fine, yet she has a LOT of hair so it gets tangled really easily. I think the trim has helped the tangles a bit so that is good. We went to a children's hair salon nearby and at first Sophia was not too thrilled to be there, but after a while she warmed up and now she talks about the "haircut place" everyday. She got to sit in a race car to get her hair cut and to pick out her own movie to watch- she chose Thomas, the Train.

With the curls her hair doesn't always look long, yet when it is wet it goes almost to her bottom.  Here she is making a silly face while getting her trim.  

The salon saved her very first snip of hair and put it in a bag and she got the cute certificate above that we can save forever! I can't believe she's had her first haircut, but then again she is 3 years old so it's probably about time!
