Sophia Turns 2...A Trip Back in Time

With the hustle and bustle of life and a temperamental computer I never posted about Sophia's 2nd birthday. Since this blog pretty much serves as her baby book I am going to post about it now, even though she is officially two years and four months today!

On Sophia's actual birthday it was the Friday of Spring Break so I had the day off automatically and Steven took the day off. We decided to wake up and give Sophia her gifts first thing.

We got her an activity table, a trike, helmet, bike bell (it came with the helmet), her own chapstick, and some books.

After presents we decided to head to the beach for the day. That is one thing I love about living in the valley- it's proximity to the Coast. After stopping at Dutch Bros. for lattes and a smoothie we headed out. At the coast we went to the Outlets and out for lunch. We took Sophia to a 50's theme diner where she enjoyed most of Steven's milkshake and some mac n cheese- her perfect birthday lunch.

Yummy chocolate shake...

The day after Sophia's birthday we threw her a birthday party, the theme was Springtime and it was lots of fun. It was our first opportunity to host something at our new house so we also really enjoyed having lots of people over that had not seen our house yet!

Here are a few pictures from the morning of the party. Sophia was having breakfast at her new table that we got her for her birthday. She is so cute (although I am a little biased).

Mandarin oranges- one of her favorites!

Here are pictures from the set up of the party:

I made bubble party favors for all the kids, we also had blowers and party hats!

Sophia's cake- white cake with buttercream filling.

The food- except for the hot stuff...

Punch, we also had beer, soda, and water outside on the deck.

Decorations- thank you Dollar Tree!

The next day Sophia had to get out and try her new trike. Here she is in her helmet and of course she has a Dutch Bros. smoothie in her basket:)
